Juice Cleanses in Detail
SIMPLE IS GOOD
We believe that when it comes to Juice Cleanses, simplicity is best.
Our three daily menus are designed to ease you into the cleanse alternating greens and apple-based drinks on Day 1, and culminating on Day 3 with almost all greens. We offer each day one juice with E-3 Live added for all of your minerals and B Vitamins. And we finish each day with an almond milk, packed with protein, calcium, and carbs (provided by dates and raw local honey).
With a few small changes in diet before you begin, your Juice Cleanse will be easy.
Start with a one day Juice Cleanse if it is your first time. Observe how you feel and how you may want to do it the same or differently the next time. Let your body/mind guide you.
Fully Loaded Juice Cleanses include five, 16-ounce juices per day, and one 16 oz almond milk per day. We recommend also drinking plenty of water, our choice is Carlsbad Alkaline Water.
Our Juice Cleanses may be pre-ordered and picked up at our retail store in Encinitas, or delivered to your door. It couldn’t be simpler! We label each drink in the order that you drink it: Start with Juice 1 first thing in the morning, and end with Juice 6 about two hours before going to bed. We find that drinking the juices about two hours apart really works nicely, but we’re all a little different so go with the flow. Drink them as you feel the need, and you will feel the most energized. The juices will taste better than ever because you will be craving them!
It is important to drink lots of water and stay as hydrated as possible during a Juice Cleanse, but the juice itself will help hydrate you!
Depending on where you’re at, the Juice Cleanse may replace the need for food. However, if you feel uncomfortably hungry, treat yourself to a small salad at lunch, a sliced avocado with oil and vinegar, fresh raw nuts, or steamed vegetables and a small piece of fish or organic tofu for dinner. Without food the Juice Cleanse will be easier on your digestive system, but eating some solid food will by no means spoil the Juice Cleanse. Do the best you can.
We are here for you. We want you to feel comfortable and assured, and to get the biggest bang for your buck! Our Juice Cleanses have been carefully chosen and created to make it as simple as possible.
BEFORE YOU START
A few days before starting your Juice Cleanse, try to cut back on any types of foods that you eat regularly which are high in sugar, fats or carbohydrates.
Try to replace meat with fish or tofu, or, if need be, organic chicken. Eat more steamed vegetables, natural soups and healthy salads. Eat less cheese or stop altogether. If you drink cows milk, try organic coconut milk. For starches, eat natural organic basmati or brown rice. Stay away from fried foods altogether. If you eat desserts often, try organic natural raw yogurt with fresh organic fruit of your choice. If you need it sweeter, add some natural raw honey. If you need snacks, try organic nuts or dehydrated kale chips.
If you drink alcohol daily, you will want to try to wean off so that by the day you start your cleanse, you feel prepared to not drink at all for the duration.
If you feel you can’t stop altogether, try having one small drink in the evening, savor it and take it slow.
If you drink coffee daily, try switching to green tea, or at least partially to green tea.
Instead of two or three cups of coffee, make one of those coffees a green tea. Green tea has some caffeine, but the amount of antioxidants that it contains makes it well worthwhile. If you decide to wean off altogether, the first day you may want to drink half of your normal coffee intake and half green tea, the next day less coffee, more tea, etc. It won’t be as difficult as you think, and once you start the juice recipes going through your body you will feel the stamina and surge of energy needed to help you power through it. Cutting back on indulgences as much as you can before starting will help you get the most out of the Juice Feast. If you can’t do it all, it’s OK! Do your best and let the Cleanse do the rest!
Drink as much water as you feel comfortable with.
If you can get alkaline water, that will be the most beneficial, as it hydrates your body more than tap or bottled water. But it is not essential. If you like, squeeze some lemon into the water.

DURING YOUR JUICE CLEANSE
Below are a few tips for your Cleanse. Have fun and enjoy!
- It may help to ingest a daily probiotic to help keep you balanced, and to assist your intestines with beneficial flora.
- Organic papaya enzyme tablets are also a good choice.
- Be sure to get plenty of rest. If feeling lethargic, lay down for 20 minutes. If you can doze off for a few of those minutes, all the better.
- Drink 6-8 glasses of water each day.
- Treat yourself to a long shower or nice warm bath at the end of the day.
- If possible, visit a sauna, it will help you to detox and relax. But keep that water coming in!
- A massage is ideal if you can swing it!
- Take one or two light walks each day to get the blood flowing more quickly, but don’t attempt overly strenuous exercise.
- If feeling blockage or any stomach pain at all, try drinking a cup or two of natural chamomile tea; or an herbal laxative tea.
- Always remember that when your Cleansing your body is going through changes that you’re not normally used to; bringing in fresh nutrients and enzymes and sending out the bad stuff. This may make you feel blocked or uncomfortable at times. It’s natural, and usually these feelings won’t last long. Keep drinking water and chamomile tea as needed. If you feel totally beat, add sea salt to water, tea, or to natural vegetable broth. Ty a small cucumber salad. A half of an apple may also help.
AFTER YOUR JUICE CLEANSE
The First Day
Eat lightly. Maybe fruit with flax seed for breakfast, a natural smoothie or salad for lunch, steamed vegetables with a salad for dinner with a small piece of organic tofu or fish.
The Second Day
Have another light breakfast, salad or steam vegetables for lunch, and for dinner have steamed vegetables and add in brown or basmati rice. If you want dessert have natural raw yogurt with fresh fruit and honey.
The Third Day
Similar to day two, but you can add in fish, chicken, etc., for dinner. After the third day, you can pretty much go back to your normal diet, but don’t overdo it! Take it slowly, observe how you are feeling and let the Cleanse sink in. A personal favorite is sushi the day the cleanse ends, to keep the raw food coming and a protein rush. We tend to crave pure and raw foods at the end of the cleanse, to keep our bodies feeling clean and light.
